Wondered if anyone could direct me to where I can find out what act my gt uncle did to justify being awarded the Military Medal

His name was Tom/Thomas Wilkins, born in Pembrokeshire and was awarded the medal in 1917. I believe he may have been in Belgium but not sure.

I'm sure the information is here somehwere - I just need to know where to look!

Winners of the Military Medal were announced in the London Gazette. So you should be able to find your great uncle by searching their their archives by date and name at http://www.gazettes-online.co.uk/archiveSearch.aspWebType=0.
